I'm glad it's over (or getting there) for the PSN fanatics!

Still I hope nobody lets $ony off the hook. Sure the hackers shouldn't of done it but it sounds like $ony left your info out there and easy to get...

What "sounds like" and "is" are 2 totally different things. The servers were up to date and user data was protected, that doesn't "sound like easy to get" to me. In any event the network was still compromised.

For those still having connection issues it seems to be intermittent and probably due to server load as more and more users update & log in. Source ~ PS EU Twitter

Not only that but when F-Secure states that Sony's new PSN security is still a joke, there's still a cause for scare. This isn't over, this is only beginning. I won't be surprised based on F-Secure's analysis PSN gets hacked a week after its been back up.

I been a playstation gamer since day one and still am but im sick of sonys jokes with us customers if i could get all games on my 360 I would not saying id boycott psn but if it can happen to sony it can happen to any gaming console manufacturer even the most secure server can be found and exploited.

Don't make me laugh. Sending unencrypted CC data from the PS3 to PSN everytime you signed in sounds like "easy to get" to me.

IMPORTANT: If you hate Sony for being so corrupt, copy this image into your signature too!

Please correct me if I am wrong but isn't that only an issue/byproduct of JB'ed PS3's and not OFW PS3's? Can you also provide proof or links to a source that confirms it's "unencrypted". Or are you just repeating something you "heard" but don't "know"?

HERE is my source for what I said above referencing that the data was protected ~

One other point to clarify is from this weekend?s press conference. While the passwords that were stored were not ?encrypted,? they were transformed using a cryptographic hash function. There is a difference between these two types of security measures which is why we said the passwords had not been encrypted. But I want to be very clear that the passwords were not stored in our database in cleartext form. For a description of the difference between encryption and hashing, follow this link.
