To my understanding the xbox hack is a physical one right?
So my questions are:
1. Can i run backupgames from the internal memory once i hack it or is another hack required?
2. Since its a hardware hack i assume there is no "brick" situation on an xbox right?

1. You can run backups from internal memory with the JTAG hack ONLY
2. The only bricking that might occur is if you failed to flash the dvd drive, thus rendering the drive dead and the xbox a paperweight more or less

Wrong this is not a hardware hack. All you need to do is flash your DVD drive in your console to play backups. Only one slims with the 9504 drive can currently be modded. All FAT consoles can.

Now Jtagging is a hardware hack but can only be done on older consoles with dash 7371 or older. These are getting harder and harder to find.

Flashing is technically a softmod, as you're only altering software (firmeware).
JTagging is a hardmod, as you're altering points on the motherboard physically.
