Apple has approved the 500,000th app to the iOS App Store today, another large milestone for the ever growing store.
By comparison, the Android Market has just over 200,000 apps, Nokia's now defunct Ovi Store had 50,000 and BlackBerry World and Windows Phone 7 Marketplace both have under 25,000.

I would like to see the breakdown on that...like how many of those are banned for the use of free speech, how many were just so bad that they were killed off, how many changed names, and how many were malware.
