According to Eurogamer, Microsoft is set to announce full stereoscopic 3D features for the Xbox 360 games console very soon.
The report says that the support works exactly like the PlayStation 3's 3D effects, providing HDMI stereoscopic 3D in the 1280x1470 twin 720p framebuffer configuration, giving a 720p image per eye.
"They'd be mad not to do it, is all I can say," said Eurogamer's ... [ read the full article ]

I would love to see the marketing figures to support this. More like another checkmark feature to make sure they don't sound inferior to the PS3 in a figurative sense. I'd be willing to bet a large majority of gamers could care less.
@Azuran
That's ok just don't do it again capeche :p
Ok so what's the point of 3d steroscopic ? who wants to play video games wearing bloody glasses if i wanted to do fps in 3d i'd do it properly & join the frak'n NZ army
Personally I like the 3D effect for some games, FPS not so much but its good in the new Motorstorm. To me Motorstorm would be a average game without it, but with it, its a great game. Only reason why I purchased it in the first place.
The machine is not only very capable, it's more capable than the PlayStation 3 of doing stereo, assuming you don't have one of the old crappy ones with the composite leads... assuming you have a HDMI Xbox.
First........I didn't even know one could get an XBox 360 WITHOUT an HDMI port and second...........3D movies and gaming is a fad, lame and an excuse to add bloatware (as mentioned above) and charge more. No one would ever miss 3D for the home if it just up and disappeared. That I can say with certainty.
Additionally........What the HELL is Laura's point by simply restating part of the article? Don't comment if it's senseless please.
As for xnonsuchx..........C'mon man.....use your head........obviously a misspelling of "via" or "by the way of" (if you don't know what it means). Please, show a little intuitive thought

They launched with component/composite or VGA out only. This was standard for better than the first year after launch when they finally added HDMI out.
