Sony NGP to be named 'PS Vita'?

The latest rumor, and "confirmed" by a couple of photos, is that Sony will name their upcoming NGP handheld "PlayStation Vita." Vita is the Latin term for "Life," which could absolutely be a reasonable name for the system. Additionally, psvita.com has the same technical contact as psp.com, Sony. "Life", I'll bet that'll be the jail sentence Sony asks for if they catch the first group or individual that hacks this thing.

And just to keep from being an old, wordy bitch, but is it me or is this device just another tablet PC of sorts? It just so happens to be put into a good looking PSP body... and be nice-ish (to me, not the NGP [put 40 layers of clear coat on a dog turd it's still a POS]. I lost contact with the whole PSP endeavor since the 3000 model being a devil to do anything with.
