Sony Ericsson has announced 20 new games for the Xperia Play gaming smartphone, including 10 that have been optimized for the device specifically.
There are currently 60 titles available for the Android device.
The biggest new game is probably Minecraft by Mojang.
Minecraft has 8 million registered users and the developer says 50,000 new users join each day.

What a waste this is. Nothing like putting a video game system that people would traditionally keep for several years on a cell phone that people traditionally keep an average of 2, if even.
In 3-5 years, I think Sony will realise that this is a money pit.
It is a dumb idea to start with...people asked for PSPhones for years and sony ignored them; even when they made the PSPgo the same size as a cell phone, they still ignored everyone...then they release an Android phone that can't even play PSP games...and then they release the NGP...still without phone capabilities (and given the carrier it is locked to, it might as well not have 3G either).
What is so hard about adding cell capabilities to the NGP, or even the PSPgo? Would the world end if Sony made something that their customers wanted?
