Yea I think we just need to be patient again, like we have had to be since the start of n3. If it comes down to it tho I'm prepared to get a full sub and one of those new Tivo boxes from VM. Ok it costs a lot more than some people are charging right now, but at least going legit means you're covered against any technical problems. I might check out the sat options too, I'll wait and see

Sports channels ok here in Knowsley. No E4 and sly1 and a few others though.
And dont forget about myp2p for the footy lads.

my area has sly spts 1234, eurospt 2 but not 1, espn... factual: crime&inv, history, military history and blighty, but no yesterday which is fta..... lifestyle now these are weird because i cannot get good food or home but can get the +1 of those channels.
there is no disc channels in factual, but can get discovery shed in lifestyle ?

I would be happy with what you have at the present time its free!!... if you had a box from Starview you would be paying the for the privilege of viewing your box, and they do not have all the channels working either.
These boxes will "never" be the same as before so whatever you get now be great-full for it, they are not going to last forever.

Morning all,
I have lost the sound on my a780 today, I have tryed retuning the box all channels are working but I have no sound at all.
Any ideas???

if i thought i was only going to get 10 or 11 channels i wouldnt of purchased a box, so im not gratefull for shelling out 150 quid for sports and a couple of other channels after less than a months usage.

10 or 11 channels think you are over exaggeration the case, if you are having problems its down to your set up, as if other people where only getting 10/11 channels do you not think there would be more than your post, if others have them you should as well.
And has always been said you buy any box you take your chances just like we all did.

if it was my set up why would i all of a sudden lose channels, and why cant i get fta like yesterday and dave. yes i know you pay ur money take ur chance but a bit dissapointing after less than a month.

well for a start you should get FTA regardless of what firmware you have on your box, so its down to your set up you have.
Do you have a subbed box from your provider ??

yes i have a subbed box, and the set up is how i was told, and my neighbour has exact same prob as me and only other person i know with one is a mile away and he lost all his programmes except sport and a few others channels same as me,and he had his box prior to last update and he said it is exactly the same as before the update.

Well if you look on here there dont seem to be any other members with the problems you are having, i suggest first get the correct net id from your subbed box, then disconnect it from the cable feed put your KV in place of it, factory default it and do a new scan and when you get to the part where you look for your net id select the correct one for your area, then see what you get boxes must be connected to direct feed, "NO SPLITTERS" when doing this, including your BB if you have from virgin as well.
You can put your BB back on after you have finished scanning.

i did a factory reset and a new scan direct from wall, connected back up and direct to virmin modem and no change except i lost all +1 channels in lifestyle, i also seem to have a high channel signal at least 82 on all lost channels. and does the signal deviation want to be set at on or off, and my final question before i leave it until things are sorted or not. would reflashing make any difference because it just seems that the channels are what happened before last software update.

Most channels off in Liverpool since 9/10 July.GOT Sum FTA and sport.movies.. all connection ok providers website ok. is it only in the (liverpool) N/WEST that is having problems.? tried all the set ups still the same. sum one must have a clue whats going on.
A woman drove me to drink and I never even had the courtesy to thank her.

im in n/e and there is a few here but not enough for it to be anything but my setup apparently.

my area got most factual channels back but they say discovery channel very glitchy almolst impossible to watch at times, got +1 channels back in lifestyle but not the normal ones.
so hopefully coming back bit by bit.
so was there a problem with some people (even though a small section)losing service, and not their set up as the people i know havn't changed theirs since the loss of service.
