nobody seems to be complaining anymore about KV, people obviously getting fed up as its doing no good,. ssnews has been down for a while now in my area.good while it was going well,but its getting to be a pain in the ass now.

just watching freeview thru the ariel, great box when it was running well, just glad i got it when it first came out, I feel sorry for the folks who haven't had them very long. just sailing by till payday then il upgrade

there was a time it went off for a month then came back on and now its like this. it was faultless before that month

your from teesside aint you mate? me to and its unwatchable. like i say im going sat. when i get up and running if you like you can come over and check how reliable it is, im sure you will be impressed. flog ya kv and go sat. you can get a sat box for 50quid

if your going sat why not invest in a hd box and give yourself a hd picture for a change.

We must be lucky here in London, the glitching is not as bad............yes it is not as good a service as pre-shutdown. So I will roll with it until it finally dies on us!!

Is the blade 7000 the best on the market at the minute.Is it easy to set up.Im seriously considering it.Does it pick up everything?Any info would be appreciated thanks.

yea, and will wait till after xmas now, might use the kv for standing fireworks on next month.

Yep, looks like this box too will become a door-stop, just like the eurovox.
Would like to go sat, if anyone would care to drop me a pm as to where and what to buy, would be most grateful.

Thanks e45 Noticed that you went down the dreambox road rather than the Blade, is that just personal preference, or is the dream a better buy?

When you get sorted on the sat front can you please let me know (a PM will do) as I'm looking to go down that route too. KV was great in the first year I had it but it's never recovered since the April issues and the frequent loss of the Kids stuff sends the Flybee Jnrs into a mini-rage. I'm just up the road from you in Tyneside and I'd be keen to see how you get on.

dreambox is open sourced as many different groups can do a fix with a different image,blade box is closed as only the fix can come from the makers of that box,same as starview only do some fixes for their boxes ,and kryptview do theirs,both are closed source boxes.

Dreambox is not to hard to set up with a bit of reading on here you will get there and it will be worth it and there are plenty on here to help if you get stuck

i just had worse day ever on ss. that used to be ok even a week ago, today was unwatchable.. watched a championship match instead of prem it was that bad glitching.

Same here - tried to watch Toon v Spurs and it glitched and lost signal all of the way through. Def going down the sat route now - at least the kids will get to watch Cartoon Network during Half term!!
