I have a Pioneer 106 and I just installed Recordnow Max. When i first start it up it says "No compatible recordable or rewritable devices could be found on your system." I downloaded both of the updates but now what do I do? Thanks in advance
My killer sig came courtesy of bb "El Jefe" mayo.

What version is Recordnowmax?
What pxengine version is located within Recordnowmax - to check do the following:
Open Recordnow
Click on Help
Click on about It should display the version number there.
The pxengine version number is the middle group of 3 numbers on the build line.
The latest is 507, I have the Pioneer 106 and it is detected fine, even with version 4.5 and a really old pxengine.........
Hmmmmmmmmmm, I thought you may have been using an older version............
The pxengine update has it's own installer program, so you just need to click on the file and let it load up, after it's done, you can check the build number again to make sure it is in there.....
I do not know about backwards compatibility with the latest pxengine update....and older version programs..
The update is only to provide the main program with more OEM writer support - makes and speed support etc (as more and more drives are now available)........
Run the update to see if it works, if it doesn't I would highly recommend you update version 4 to 4.5 as per the link I posted....
I think it is 16Mb, so on a dial up may take around 45mins, quicker obviously if you are on broadband......
