you posted a very vague remark, description there.
mpg1 or 2 ?
player ? PC or hardware ?
you mean there is a stray pixel sized 3x3 is floating around the screen ?
could be a decoding eror, is it with every single video or certain ones ?

that Rubix Cube Looking Squares you are Talking about is Caused from the "Elecard Mpeg2 Decoder" that you have installed...When in Demo mode the decoder will overlay that Logo over every Mpeg file you try to play so to get rid of it you Must Un-Install the Elecard Mpeg decoder from your System and Install a Different Mpeg decoder, Maybe a Software DVD Player Like WinDVD would be a Better choice for watching Mpeg files on your PC....

I would like to say this Windows Media Player can easily play mpegs. Even when you first install a operating system for example windows 98, ok immediatly windows media player should be able to play mpegs on your system. So maybe you got some wierd crap installed on your system that is screwing things up or that you encoded crappy mpegs with a crappy program

I found this information from another website MPEG SS/PS/TS Demultiplexer
Audio MPEG1 Layer II/III, LPCM Decoder, aka OdioDekoda
DivX div3/div4/mp43/mpg4 Video Decoder, aka WinDivX
Moonlight-Elecard MPEG2 Video Decoder itself

These are four direct show filters, I dont know maybe this will help you go to this website.
http://www.elecard.com/products/mpeg2decoder.shtml

Meanwhile im doing everything I can to help you out ok, If i find anthing else about this Ill let you know

No problem glad I can help and always becareful with codec packs they can really screw things up. If you need a specific codec get that codec but dont install codec packs.
