Hi,
I have had this a few times and when it happened yesterday i decided to delve into this and find out what is really happening.
My kryptview uses a wireless bridge for connectivity so to start with i attached this to my pc disconnected the wireless network and checked that i could still browse the internet which i could.
So the wireless bridge wasnt the issue.
I then reconnected it to the kryptview box and tried to do a traffic report which was unsuccessful so my thinking was that the Kryptview wasnt getting a new ip address.
To prove this i did a packet capture on my wireless router and could see the kryptview discovering the dhcp server (router) and the dhcp server offering a ip address to the kryptview but after that there was no repsonse from the kryptview.
Seems that the kryptview software is a little buggy with regards to DHCP and when its time comes to renew the ip it doesnt always do it correctly.
So i then turned the box off for a minute and turned it back on.
I could then see it responding and accepting the ip address offered from the DHCP server.
Appologies if im teaching people to suck eggs or repeating information but thought this might be helpful to some people.
Cheers
Kev
