One week after the company announced 10 million Google+ users, Google has now hit the next milestone, 20 million users.
The latest data comes via comScore, who says over 5 million are in the U.S., alone.
Says the research firm: "It is definitely the fastest ascent to 20 million visitors that I can think of."

I couldn't agree more. I got the invite and thought to myself, NOW WHAT? My one buddy is 110% anti-Facebook and thinks that Google+ will over take them, but I think he's on drugs.
The +1 next to search items is a brilliant idea, but IMO they would've been better served striking a deal with FB and adding "like" buttons to it in an exchange for either search or advertising share through the FB website.
Actually, I don't think G+ will really kill FB. I'm sure FB will be here to stay. But with G+ now giving FB a real competition, we will all benefit by having an improved FB and a better G+.
