for the tech industry to even catch up with any oil company is an accomplishment, to not be taken lightly.

as for the Saudi Arabian Oil Company and its worth of $1.2 trillion, is highly questionable and covered in all sorts of under the table dealings.

It doesn't suprise me, they're both great at ripping off consumers, and greasing the wheel of the corrupt political machine. But hey, what large corporation isn't?

Yes they both do rip us off but no one has a gun to our heads to buy their products. I am with DXR88. I do hate Apple because of their ethics but admire them as the only huge company in the world that truely has a vision and means to take that vision to market. They know what will sell.

I am laughing at these cloud phones now but I wouldn't be surprised if they sell like hot cakes when they come out. I am too old fashon for cloud technology. I like the privacy of physically having my stuff under my control. I learned a lesson when hotmail blew away my account. I figured they had the stuff backed up. I lost 5 yrs worth of archives. I even had stored stuff up there for safe keeping. They blamed me for deleting my account. I told them that is about like eating your self. They were unimpressed with my analogy. I learned later a whole server farm had crashed and that they lost millions of accounts. Of course they never fessed up to that.

Apple is in a different league than where M$ is but who knows where they will be in 5-10 yrs. Right now techies run the company but some day soon the suits will start taking over. When Jobs dies it will be like when Gates left M$. That is when the suits will take over and suck it dry.

I hear what you are saying Mez, when the suits take over it will just be about a formula to make money, with little or no innovation.

If your fish seems sick, put it back in the water.
