WSJ: Sprint getting iPhone 5

article published on 23 August, 2011

According to a new WSJ report (tweeted out), Sprint will be getting the iPhone 5 at launch, although launch date is still unclear. Apple has made the iPhone available to AT&T customers since inception, and this year to Verizon customers. Adding Sprint to the mix would mean the iPhone will be available on the three biggest carriers in the U.S. The fourth carrier, T-Mobile, is set to be ... [ read the full article ]

T-Mobile, is set to be acquired by AT&T next year for $39 billion.

No...there goes the neighborhood...AT&T is openly breaking anti-trust laws for the twin goals of increasing prices and decreasing service...and the people who we pay to prevent such things are going right along with it.

If it comes to Sprint and T-Mobile is the only carrier still not selling the iPhone, they are going to bleed subscribers like crazy this fall. Just giving them and AT&T more of an excuse to say the buyout is necessary.

I like my Sprint service. I like that it's not AT&T or Verizon. I like that it doesn't have the iPhone.

Apple runs the show. I'm sick and tired of it. Good God, will Android hurry up with Ice Cream Sandwich and put Apple in it's grave, for crying out loud.

Oh, Im sorry... Did the middle of my sentence interrupt the beginning of yours?

I wasn't talking about Sprint bleeding, getting the iPhone will probably help them gain a large number of subscribers.

I'm talking about T-Mobile losing subscribers if Sprint gets it and they're the only ones left out and using it as justification for the AT&T buyout. "We can't compete so we need to sell ourselves to AT&T".
