Google needs to sue the s**t out of them...Apple is constantly suing Android manufacturers for making devices with features similar to those on Apple products, and the newest iOS is little more than a bunch of features from Android.

After playing with iOS 5 for a bit on a friend's iPhone 4 I can say the software is just about on par with Android 2.3 now (in terms of features the average user will care about). Took them long enough.

Android isn't open source...well, the base bits are, but there is enough patented stuff in there than microsoft makes more money off of Android licensing than they do off of WinPhone sales.

The Notification Center, similar to rival Android, will let you swipe down from the top of the screen to see all of your notifications.
They deserve every law suit that goes their way. I mean, really? I don't believe I've seen such massive hypocrisy before. The entire update is nothing more than them directly, "slavishly" if you will, copying everything Android.

Aw, then next next week they will release iOS 6? Why they keep on releasing too fast?
Because people will keep getting so fast (for some ungodly reason).

iMessage, similar to Google Talk will allow users with iOS devices to send unlimited instant messages without the need for a texting plan.
Yea you need a data plan instead if you want to use it everywhere... Blackberry is still the way to go if you want a feature like that with a cheaper plan at least.

Right. Unless memory is failing, that would be Palm and BlackBerry. Or those silly "personal assistants" that were out for the longest time before phones took over. Although my memory probably is indeed failing and certainly distorted by my youth, I remember using those long before an iPhone or iPod Touch.

I think Apple was the first to come up with multi-touch.

Yes, they are indeed the first multi-touch devices I started seeing. Don't I remember some random company show-casing multi-touch features a bit before though, just not on an actual screen? Using a projector with camera's sensing the disruption in light?

Well, the messenger is BB specific. The only way anyone could share pictures with my family was through BB Messenger, had to pay extra with the provider to allow actual MMS.

While my android phone came with gmail, it also came with a generic email app that works with virtually any service (except for the BB and Apple services)...and the google market is full of apps for competing companies. Google dominates by having the best services, instead of by preventing people from using the competition.
