Sony says no Vita hardware shortages at launch

After having to put up with product shortages in the past, it would be no surprise if the launch of Sony's PlayStation Vita handheld console has marred by the same troubles. However, having learned the lessons of the past, Sony has taken steps to ensure that won't happen.

no thanks ill buy wiiu even though confirmed wiiu comes out in june. im only saying this because it's true and no point of getting vita if sony keep on getting hacked.

They are already blocking flash in the grand Apple tradition, while attacking the few loyal users they still have on the PS3. They have failed to get the casual market, and they continue to try to shed the hardcore market.

Let em I say, it's only going to hurt themselves. If Sony does flop to the point out of getting out of gaming, I wouldn't be surprised if another corporation tries a stab at it. Hell I kind of surprised Samsung hasn't.

the wii U might not be out till 2013 they are showing the final version at E3 2012. they got hacked once? not sure were the keep on getting hacked is coming from.

Sony got hacked more than once lol. If you count all their divisions as a separate hack it = about 10. If counting only one associated with PSN they got hacked twice that they announced, possibly more that they haven't announced. Once during the fiasco that got them all the lawsuits, and once shortly after they were back up for the first time under a new Security Chief Officer tho I don't even think they were down for a full day.

Mysttic it went down once PSN not sure where you got the other hack story from that is rubbish. the only other times PSN was down was for maintenance it gets announced days before.
Sony will go out of gaming? think it would take a hell of a lot for a brand as big as playstation to crash.

The PSN has had three very notable attacks. First there was the ddos attack that shouldn't have been an issue except they didn't have proper equipment in place, the second was the big one where lots of data got stolen and the network was down for a long time due to several well known security holes, the third was more recent, where only 90,000 accounts were compromised...some say this wasn't the fault of Sony, but the fact that millions of failed logins from the same pool of IP addresses went ignored was a huge oversight.

KillerBug PSN going down was once. again loads of sites crash on ddos attack it the easiest to do to any site you just flood it. the 90,000 accounts can happen on any site it was a password hack I think.
how was it ignored when they told everyone straight away?

ddos attacks can happen to anyone, but they are only successful if proper filtering hardware is not in place...Microsoft already had hardware filters, Sony has them now but did not have them then. Technically the PSN didn't go down that time, but it was unusable for a week, so it might as well have gone down.
The 90,000 was a password hack, using a pool of millions of user name/password combinations...when you get tens of thousands of failed logins from a single IP address and you don't block that IP address, you are not paying attention. Actually, the hardware they bought to deal with the ddos attacks would have prevented this, if they had bothered to set it up correctly.
