Most notably, the computer will be just 40-60 mm long, 10-20 mm wide and 5-10 mm thick. ... [ read the full article ]

Not the first to try and do, there is already a group of people making the Raspberry Pi. A very small computer that runs linux, and I think there selling 2 models 1 which has a price tag of $25 no ethernet and the other is $35 and it has a 10/100 wired Ethernet. They are not selling them yet but will be soon I believe.

Yes, which should be awesome for sure. They do not have the resources of a billion dollar company, however.

I can't say that it would be ideal for their goals...but as a replacement for Apple TV/Google TV/etc, it might be ideal.

I have a flash drive with those exact dimensions :S That's very impressive. But the kind of tasks such a computer could perform is the real question.

If you really want to impress me, pack 1 million gigabytes(1 petabyte) into your standard 3.5" hard drive :p 2 of those in Raid 1 would be all I could ever ask for :D Solid State technology will likely reach that one day. But I currently worry about modern SSD longevity.

To delete, or not to delete. THAT is the question!

I think I said something like that but with "1GB" in place of "1PB" a while back...around the time that the 3.5" floppy drive came out...
