Extracting data from a copy protected CD

Hi can anybody give me some help here, I am able to create an image of a copy protected CD (VideoCD with bad sector), but when I mount it as a virtural drive in Alcohol 120% it still shows nothing (just like the original CD). how can I extract data from the CD or from the image file?

Most VCDs are not protected (and I have no idea how/what protections are there). Are you sure its not just a normal bad sector for whatever reason?

What file format did you save the image as m8? (iso, bin&cue). Use either CDMage or IsoBuster and easily extract the image file format you created.
