Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this copying malarky!, I bought DVD X Copy Platinum so that I could back up my DVD's, however I don't want to lose any quality and don't mind splitting them onto 2 discs. Obviously DVD X Copy does this, but with the future of 321 looking a little shaky I wondered if any of you have found other ways or programs to do this?

I would welcome any replies

Steve.

Move mouse pointer toward top of screen - click on third button from left (Guides) - all will be revealed.

If you are even more adventurous, you could try the (Search) button.

Alternatively look at the right hand panel of the home page.

To colw,

Thanks for the reply, but the key to my question was UNCOMPRESSED, and looking at all the guides they do not allow this they all compress, which is not what I am after, however I liked your sarcasm.

Yes.
DVD Shrink will back up uncompressed but only for a DVD-5 disc.
Also, the earlier versions of DVD Xcopy will do this across multiple discs too.

Also, in 99/100 backups from DVDShrink, you will not notice any quality drop if you drop down to the DVD-5 either.
I was cynical about this at first too, but oh so wrong.

Honestly, use Shrink, and save money on the blanks plus save the hassle of "please insert disc 2" messages in the middle of the movie.

The best tool to split a DVD9 to 2 DVD-Rs is DVDFab.
