PAR files ?

I have the 1st (cd1) on a movie, I used winrar to extarct it to a folder, but now I am unsure what to do ?
I have 10 files as PAR files ...
This is the 1st one .....vcd-******ts2.PAR2 any thoughts would be very welcome, many thanks ... Chas

par files are also known as parity archives. there are 2 types, par1, and par2. par files are awesome! basically if you have missing or damaged archives, a par file can reconstruct them from data encoded througout itself.
ie if you only have 10 of 16 par files, it can re-construct the misssing data perfectly. very cool stuff. I wish they would replace .rar altogether!

yes you are you say you have downloaded a movie and you told witch film it was so thats piracy if i am not mistaken just because you never wrote piracy in your thread it doesnt mean thats not what your talking about

I think it very sad indeed that you all seem to come out of the woodwork when a new poster comes along, the whole site is full of copy this, and copy that, and dvd rips, that it looks like double standards are the order of the day, you all need to "get a life", and a sense of god damm humour ... Look chashey, given that we can all see that you edited your post to remove the part of the filename that would tell us what movie you were talking about less than an hour and a half after kcc76 told you not to post questions about piracy, it's obvious to anyone who reads this that you were asking for help with pirated material. All the indignation in the world is not going to change that, and insulting the collective intelligence of these forums isn't helping your cause any either. You made a mistake. Big deal. Learn from it, move on with your life, and stop feigning ignorance of what everyone can see that you did. Insulting members who are trying to look out for the welfare of this site will not get you sympathy. It will just get the word Newbie under your name replaced with the word Inactive.

If you want to be smart about it ...what is this file? Because if thats the filename then you have a problem already -- you cant have "*" as a part of the filename. So, what file is this? -- if you're gonna pirate, learn to pirate properly and when people call you out on it, dont get your nose bent out of shape.

the gist of his question was about par files, not piracy. The name of the file is irrelavant. What he's asking is how can he extract it to a folder. Quit trying to start shit with people who are asking for help.
