DB, what the master guru is referring to, with a sly smile on his face I suspect, is once upon a time the situation was reversed and I was in your shoes when Pete told me of the power of Nero, specifically Recode. Ah, but I listened and being the faithful disciple that I am, I am now passing his teachings on to you. One day, hopefully you will pass what you have learned on to someone else and thus the circle will remain intact. We call that circle AfterDawn. How am I doing Master? heh heh heh

okay im having problems again up to now i have been burning the Nero vision project straight to dvd as have only wanted one copy of my movie.
Now i have a new project that i want 2 copies of so i selected write to hard disc instead of dvd. But when i go to open the saved project it just starts transcoding it again and says it will take another 5 hours, why can't i just burn the project again after saving it?

DB, if the project is ready to burn, there is no need to use nve2, go to Nero burn express and add your files.There is an AUDIO_TS and a VIDEO_TS folder. Add all of your files(click and drag) to the VIDEO_TS folder and then burn. HAPPY 4TH!!!

dumblonde do u just put your .avi movies onto nero vision express?and it transcodes em? i hear cyberlink power producer is better than nero for burnin and it recodes and its quicker

big orange yr eternally my hero, happy 4th of july to you and all other americanos.
Deano i just put the .AVI straight into Nero and it transcodes and burns for you, also if you want to join multiple files you can add them all select them all and it will join for you, haven't tried anything else except for TMPGEnc as Nero is working great for me are you having trouble with it or is it just taking too long?

deano, I think she used TMPGEnc before she tried Nero. TMPGEnc will handle stuff Nero sometimes can't but I would try Nero 1st because it is faster and you can create a pretty decent menu fairly easy. With TMPGEnc you have to use TMPGEnc Author after conversion and it is much longer.

deano, It's Nerovision Express found in the Nero Ultra 6 package. If you don't have it, you ought to get it, best all around video/audio package out there(my opinion). Eagletronics has it for 49.00, it normally costs 99.00.

If you have any older verions either OEM or retail going back to 4.0 or later, get the serial numbers and you can go to Nero's web site and get the upgrade version for $49.95.

If you are using a Deluxe verion of PowerDVD or WinDVD and you don't want to use showtime, then during the installation when you are asked which file types that you want Showtime to handle, deselect everything.

Well...that's not a lot to go on. I would say Nero and your printer aren't "talking" yet. When you launch cover designer, pull down the file menu, and go to print setup. It will either let you set up the print job, or it will tell you "no printer found." 'Come back and explain what happened, OK?
