Earlier this year, Sony bought out Ericsson's stake in their decade-long "Sony Ericsson" joint venture for 1 billion euros. Today, Kristian Tear, an executive VP at Sony Ericsson, has said that the company's transition back to just Sony will be completed by the middle of next year.
