Apple must license patent, and pay for past use. Motorola complained to German courts that Apple failed to license intellectual property owned by Motorola Mobility. The patent covers a "method for performing a countdown function during a mobile-originated transfer for a packet radio system." Apple doesn't want to pay anyone, they don't believe they should ever have too, even when clearly in the wrong. Good luck Motorola I hope you get what you deserve.

To be fair, Apple doesn't think others should have to pay them for their patents; they just think that no one else should be able to sell products that do anything even remotely similar to their patents...oh wait...that is far worse.

Idk why there even suing these companies anymore. Android is the dominant OS and will be unless everyone migrates to windows mobile in a few years. There not going to kill android off or ban any company's sales in the US, might as well save the money and invest in better batteries that can support high-end mobile devices and make their OS more customizable without needing to jailbreak.
