Hi,

I'm still very new to A120 myself but after reading your post I ran a SecuRom 4.84 disc through it on the SecuRom *New (4.x/5.x) setting with the write set at 4X and got a coaster! I've used BlindWrite5 to do the same game with no problems so I'm very interested in getting A120 working.

I'll join you in your quest for knowledge Rotary :)

Now we just need to find Praetor.

You try upping the DPM precision up to high? :) ('sides BW is better for SecureROM while A120 is more for SD2/3)

DPM was set to 2X (High).

I can say from personal experience that BW5 is extremely good at SecuRom (especially with a Plextor Premium) :)

A-Ray Scanner should eaisly detect the SecuROM version. I find Blindwrite 5 best for making backups of SecuROM. Hey, hey, hey Rotary :)

Rotary,(good ole' buddy ole' pal)
Specs on my sig are to show other forum members that with the proper cooling, supurb memory and a great vga card, one can seriously overclock! I'm not a big fan on my MSI mobo and plan and grabbing a GigaByte or Asus nForce2 (400 chipset) mobo. GigaByte slaughtered the Asus board at Toms hardware guide. Numerous tests on 9 mobo's and the GigaByte mobo won hands down.

Bad arse mobo, tough to beat of the nForce2 ultra (400) mobo's.

Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe boards are awesome, but I read at Tom's hardware guide the BIOS crashed at OC'ed at 225 FSB (frequency). Hard to pass up the GigaByte mobo when the mobo supports 4x ide connections(up to 10 ide devices), dual BIOS, dual memory and a small fan on the nForce chip. :)

Why Hercules? After all it's the vendor selling the nVidia chipset tech m8. For the price, tough to beat the MSI StarForce nVidia GeForce FX5500 (256 DDR). I got mine at Newegg obviously.
