I just got a dvd burner and was trying to use dvd shrink and now I can't burn to cd's using nero or easy creator. Everytime I try, my computer burns the song files to my hard drive and not the cd-r.

Any suggestions?

Then you have enabled in your configuration to write to the hd, then to a cd-r m8. I don't endorse Roxio Easy CD Cre(a)mater as this program causes ASPI layer conflicts. Try using Nero as an alternative. Just remember to choose "cd" when writing to a cd-r and "dvd" when writing to a dvd+r, if using Nero.

I think you've got the recorder set to Image Burner? Start Nero and then goto Recorder-->Select Recorder and select your burner (not image burner)

When I go to install Nero it scans my PC for Burners and the only one it finds is called image recorder Virtual Device. I think this is what is used with DVD Shrink?

HOw can I make it so that it will recognize my actual burner?

Thanks

I checked Device manager and did a search can't find the 'image recorder virtual device' anywhere

also, when configuring Nero, this virtual device is the only drive that comes up as an option.

I meant to check for your actual burner -- the Image Recorder is a Nero-only burner.
