The Singapore carrier M1 has made their camera-less iPhone available to the masses, a week after leaking the product pages for the device. Phones with cameras are not allowed to be used by soldiers in the nation, and all citizens are required to fulfill two years of mandatory military service. Coming from the country that......while crime is virtually non-existent, or minimal at best, punishes for picking flowers, spitting and at one point several years ago, for chewing gum. That chewing gum law has since changed but seriously, this country needs to remember that the government represents the citizens.......not the other way around. At least not SUPPOSED to be the other way around.

I guess Apple declined to stand up and say as a company that we don't care to enable authoritarian governments across the world. Now that the "cool" phone is made without a camera, they can make these phones the only legal smartphones available in even worse sh1th0le authoritarian dictatorships where it will be more difficult for citizens to show the world how violent/brutal their governments are.

Way to go, Apple.
