using dvdripper i'm able to backup a movie to my hard disc; when i run dvd decrypter i get a message in the popup that say's "no device detected"; as a result i am unable to burn the movie. any idea why? please help.

Are you attempting to read and write in ISO mode???

Are you using an external drive. If so have you checked the connection. Also, have you checked your device manager to ensure that everything is functioning properly.
I have personally found that when I was using my usb connected external DVD RW drive, which was installed on usb port one, when i moved my system (laptop) and then plugged it into usb port two by mistake, it gave me errors.
I can't explain why this would happen, only that it did.

1) my DVD+RW drive is a "NEC DVD+RW ND-1100A" internal
2) yes, i think i am reading and writing in ISO mode only because i'm following the step-by-step instructions in DVDRipper.

i found the updated version of DVD Decrypter and it appears to be working. thanks for all your replies.

hi you have a problem : did you check the firmware
or you can uninstall and reinstall dvd burner

or new version of the software. see ya
