it won't be revolutionary..

it's obvious with their sales figures that people like what they are selling, i seriously doubt they will change that winning formula too much.

By their standards, "Revolutionary" could means something as simple as a new engine...or even the old engine with a few tweaks that fans have been asking for since the first CODMW. Personally I haven't enjoyed the series since MW1...but the fact is that it is still selling like crazy, beating out titles like Skyrim that are much, much, much larger and more expensive to produce...so why fix what isn't broken...or rather, why fix something when people buy it anyway?

There was a time when MW3 would have been called a "Total Conversion", made by fans of MW2, and free...today they get away with charging $60 for it. If you could do that, wouldn't you?

Black Ops 2.............Hmmm............quite a revolutionary start by naming it that.

And it's not those that "Think" it's a bunch of "same with new name and maps" but in FACT and INDEED IS THE SAME WITH NEW MAPS!.......PERIOD

COD is like Apple........meant for the unthinking, uncalculating, simple minded folk.

Did none of you bother to read the article? The very first sentence states "Speaking on an INVESTOR conference call..."

So, from an investor's point of view when talking about being "revolutionary", he means
- cutting costs
- cutting staff
- milking every single cent out of the consumer
- etc

It's only going to be revolutionary for investors. Activision isn't going to pump one more dime in to what they already have. They'll use the same engine, with the same graphics and same game play. They'll reskin Black Ops, call it Black Ops 2, add a required subscription of $5.99 a month for online play, and sell the game for $67.99.

That's what will make it "revolutionary" for the stock holders.

MW3 is a step in the wrong direction so hopefully B.O 2 rekindles the fire I once had in this series...

Personally, I don't think it's going to get me back. I've gotten a bit sick of the series and will probably move to MoH for arcade shooters. Lately I just play BF3 while MW3 sits in its case...

Doesnt expecting the unexpected make the unexpected expected and therefore mean youre expecting the expected which was the unexpected until you expected it?

No matter how much we crap talk about the COD series, they have a huge database of customers who will buy whatever they release.

There is no doubt about that as MW3 is one of the biggest selling titles in my area. But I have spoke to many that have bought it and they are all discouraged with the new title and say Black Ops is still the best release for that series. I had one person tel me that between the 3 new titles in this genre that Gears Of Wars 3 was his favorite, I haven't played that one so I have no opinion there.

In my opinion........Battlefield 3 was rather "revolutionary" regarding playability and graphics.

NOT A FAN of "Origin" though.........or playing the frakking game in a web browser. Browsers have enough trouble keeping from crashing or erroring out without playing a hardware-intensive game in them.

They will not change COD, that would run the risk of losing there record breaking sales every year. They have a winning formula like others are saying and they are gonna milk it till it's dry. Lot's of people don't like MW3 because it is very buggy. What do you expect when there pumping out a game a year? I very much love COD games just the MP online part. But with it being so buggy every year not fixing what really needs to be fixed I am done paying full price for a broken game.

even if it IS black ops 2, i still wont make the same mistake by investing in mw3 (going in blindly with no review).
holy hell mw3 sucked. black ops was much better but again, im not going to make the same mistake and this time around, i will wait for a review or at least gameplay video
