iPad 3 has a 2048 x 1536 Retina Display

MacRumors has "confirmed" today that the upcoming iPad 3 does indeed have a 2048 x 1536 resolution Retina Display screen.
After obtaining one of the iPad 3's displays and examining it under a microscope, the site says they have determined the resolution and the fact that the display is Retina.
The display will be the same size as the previous models, at 9.7-inches.

2X the resolution, making it twice as enjoyable....
I'm going to buy the ipad4 as well along with a scanning electron microscope. The ipad4 is going to have 4096 x 3072 resolution, and I want to make sure I'm getting my moneys worth.
If your fish seems sick, put it back in the water.

I don't know what the surprise is on the iPad 3, it's been rumored to have a Retina display for months. Also, the timing is no surprise as they come out yearly and the 3 is due. I have the first iPad and love it but will switch to the 3 as soon as I can!
