Feds seize $50 million more of Megaupload's assets

The government also added that the company had 66.6 million registered users, far below the site's claims of 180 million. Only 5.86 million of those users ever uploaded files, "demonstrating that more than 90 percent of their registered users only used the defendant's system to download."

How is this owners fault for people uploading stuff on their server? How can feds say that the owners didn't removed copyright when sometimes I see : This link has been removed due to complaint from copyright holders....

Silly me;I thought the owners of copyright had the onus on them to enforce their claims - when did it become the responsibility of the taxpayer?

This is utter BS, you can't re-charge them for charges already pending. That's a form of double jeopardy. Then on top of that you can't charge them for what others are doing on their servers. If that's the case Turner Broadcasting, Mediacom & any other ISP & their employees should immediately be up there right beside these guys (with their moneys seized) handcuffed & paraded around like assholes as well.
Might as well grab up all the advertisers as well, Google, Yahoo & any other search engine that linked 'us' to a file on that site as well because their definition of guilt spills it out the same.
While they're at it, they might as well throw the cuffs on themselves. Oh Shit! Russ has lost his mind! Not really, cause you know these guys tossed a USB drive on these servers & took some of this stuff home to play like everyone else did. NOBODY is without sin. I'd dare one of them to look ME in the eye & say otherwise.
I'd even go as far as to say they didn't even get a warrant to surf the net & access Megaupload externally from a normal ISP to download anything as proof of the servers having copy-written material. Which makes them just as criminal.
No, folks... no where near the laws exist on the books to deal with any of what these guys are going through. Nor am I saying they are guiltless, but I am saying they aren't bringing down nations. They aren't financing terror or drug cartels & they sure as hall aren't starving out Metallica.
All I want to know is... Where the hell are their lawyers!?!

I just love how our government controlled media always has to come up with a "catch phrase" so "the people" can remember it.
Unrelated to this article, the NSA is saying that the group anonymous wants to shut down the nations power grid. Yet another scare tactic for them to pass laws to control the web.
Russ is absolutely right, they do need to throw the cuffs on themselves, they're the real Mega conspirator.
I know I've said it many times before, but its not only getting worse, its about to get a lot worse a lot faster.
These guys might very well be guilty of everything "our government" says they are. I just find it very scary how due process gets brushed under the rug when a government has a corporate agenda.
