Samsung aims at Apple products again.
The South Korean firm sent an e-mail to media outlets with a grid highlighting some of the things its Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet can do while the new iPad cannot.
Over the past several months, Samsung has blasted Apple products and fans of them with a series of television advertisements. The media attack culminated in a 90 second super bowl spot which ... [ read the full article ]

well its nice to see some competition between the two. the only problem is that both products cost WAY WAY WAY to much!!!!!! not to insult anybody who bought one but you just spent nearly 400 dollars if not more just on one item to me thats flat out retarded
I've always said, "If I'm going to spend the money, I'd better feel like I got my money's worth." And I've never seen an Apple product that delivered. NEVER! From military Avid media composers, editors, to showroom mega-dons... they can all piss off!
The ONLY Apply approximation that remotely impressed me were the 'clones' & that was it. They cost about 1/3rd of the price & ran the software, but they still had all the software bugs that enriched the lives of Apple folks for eons. Still no sale & No Thank You.
So when I see Samsung touting their wares, I basically want to to snicker. 1, cause I can't afford it. They're almost as bad as CrApple. Software, I'm on board with Android 7 so far so good, but you can forget a $500 tablet. I don't care if it has a 3 week complimentary, unlimited 'Orgazmo' trial or not, I'm NOT buying one.
The other is that their products DO actually do more things. Plop down Bennies for an Apple product you get the minimum for the max. Plop down a bunch of Bennnies for a (?), well, say competitor & you get whistles & bells!
So basically, when you look at an Apple ipud HD for $600 & go "Holy S*t, does it do anything?", then look over at the Samsung for some comparative shopping & see that it does twice the stuff for maybe $50 bucks less, you'll 'think' you're getting twice the tablet.

Samsung forgot to compare speed and screen resolution among other features.
Isn't Samsung a Korean company?
2000x1600 resolution on an 8-10 inch screen is stupid & a waste of processing cycles (especially for a tablet) for rendering something you're never going to be able to notice that small.
If your going to hold the device that close to your face you desperately need better bifocals than I currently have. Better still, resolution over 1920x1080 is over what any HD television will reproduce. NO professional is going to be using a tablet to edit photos/video on one of these things. Not a REAL professional. Again, a waste.
And yes, Samsung is a Korean based company. What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?
