Hi i was wondering if anyone out there could help me? here is my problem.....

I am burning dvd's with DVD SHRINK and DVD DECRYPTER. everything works fine and have about a 80% success rate, however the other 20% of the dvd's i have burnt, when played in a "home" dvd player and on my pc, they sort of pixilate, pause, jump, and skip. I have NO idea what the problem could be as when going through the whole process, nothing seems to be going wrong! my computer is brand new, and has 120gig hard drive and 1gig or RAM, my dvd burner is a SONY Duel layer.

If anyone could help me solve my problem it would be very much appreciated.

Thank you

It sure does.

What are you using? With bad media, typically, the beginning of the movie is often OK. Towards the end/last few chapters, the problems gradually develop. The fact that some are OK, others are not also suggest uneven/variable quality media.

Make sure your firmware for the Sony is up to date. It should be, as it is the new DL Sony burner.

Interestingly, some 'cheap media' are OK with some burners, do poorly with others. I would think your best choices would be Ritek/Ridata, Verbatim and possibly the Sony brand (because of the Sony burner).

I bet you are using +R right. Well then switch to -R and this will take care of your problem.

Happy Burning!

I use +R's 99.999% of the time, only used -R once(sample, came with my burner). Never given me problems.

Firstly thank you to everyone who replyed so quickly...

Secondly, i am using -R disc's "Pinical" (I think thats what they are called) just a generic brand, i was using +R (TDK) but the same problem was occuring, so i changed to -R in hope to fix the problem.

I guess I'll have to find some new disc!!, when i do, i'll post up my results.

Once again, thanks everyone
