I HAVE BEEN BURNING DVDS WITH MEMOREX 4X FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW AND MY DVD PLAYER NOR MY XBOX DVD PLAYER EVER HAD A PROBLEM READING THEM. NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY WILL NOT PLAY ON MY XBOX OR MY DVD PLAYER! CAN SOMEONE PLEASSSSEEEE HELPPP MEEEE???????

Very informative thread title. You need to cool it with the all caps. The forum rules and common courtesy suggest not using them.

Memorex tends to use low quality media and a symptom of low quality media is a short lifespan as far as data integrity is concerned. I imagine your discs are crapping out on you. Burning slower may help and buying quality media would be an even better solution.

it does the same thing with all of my hp 4x discs and my verbatims as well any other suggestions??

Are you using labels on yours DVDs? - Stick on labels will enentually cause problems for most people/players due to their unbalancing effects.

Labels are not highly recommended for burnt DVDs - if this is your problem, try the seach function on this site.

Dude,

What are u using to burn DVD-R or +R/RW? I suggest burning to DVD-R only as this will guarantee that they will work in any player. New players can handle DVD+R, however, I have seen them have issues as well with +R.

i am using + r to burn my discs, they always worked in my xbox and dvd player and all of a sudden the past eight that i have done just wont work.
