23-year-old British student Richard O'Dwyer will be extradited to the U.S. to face multiple copyright infringement charges, despite never having been to the country.
The former owner and creator of TVShack's plight will set an unfortunate precedence in the UK, as others in the future can likely face similar charges. O'Dwyer, according to UK law, is completely innocent, but he will likely ... [ read the full article ]

nothing more than abuse of power, screw this administration nothing more than a bunch of no good communists, and while we are at it, screw those illiberal liberals in hollywood, they couldn't give a *expletive* less if we payed them. All they care for is to spread the power they yield and control the hearts and minds of every citizen. Forget actually practicing morals in business reminds me of that greedy banker in the movie it's a wonderful life, unfortunately power is at state and they push the agenda and stomp on anyone who takes away .000001% of the slice of pie they wanted.

I'd like to see the Brits find laws on their books that have been broken by our politicians, and have the offenders extradited to Britain for just punishment.
Turnabout is fair play.
When laws allow unlimited ownership of ideas, it is to a society as iron fusion is to the core of a star.
When verified realities lead us to anger, we must learn to reevaluate our beliefs.

Wait, so how can the UK be fine about this, but the guy is getting reamed in the ass by the U.S. cause of a domain site that the government owns? WTF? If the U.S. is that paranoid over a damn web site, then the end of the world needs to come sooner than later.

So let me get this straight, if you kill 17 men, woman and children, you don't get tried in the country that you murdered the people in, but get to go home. But if you have a website, and you link to other sites that link to videos, VIDEOS, you get extradited to a foreign country? Tall about global domination. Why do we even sovereign nations if they aren't recognized by the US?
I'll stick my foot up your ass.

Whether it's right or wrong to extradite him, as an American citizen I for one am super-stoked about the millions of taxpayer dollars the entire process of transporting, holding, trying, and potentially incarcerating him is going to cost. I mean, this is clearly an extremely necessary use of our institutional resources (just like all those non-violent drug offenders).

Theresa May accused of 'double standards' over Duchess of York extradition to Turkey
Home secretary Theresa May has been accused of "double standards" for refusing to extradite the Duchess of York to Turkey.
It's one rule for the rich/establishment and another for us.
Google this and see the hypocrisy of British justice!

5yrs in prison for a trivial act. Wow...
Yes, trivial!
And yet even more heinous crimes are committed, for less jail/prison time. This is very wrong. I fear for the future of our planet :(

To delete, or not to delete. THAT is the question!

My guess? They're just advocating for their real masters, the corporations. Since corporations are people too, and are allowed to contribute to political campaigns, and hire lobbyists to push their agenda. I'm sure if average citizens could contribute as much money to political campaigns, and hire their own lobbyists to push their agendas, that the politicians would at least pretend to listen to them. But until then, it goes to the highest bidder...er... contributor.

Are all of you really that clueless?
Governments and law enforcement of different countries have been working together to crack down on criminals for quite awhile.
So this news that one government is handing over a CRIMINAL to another government is surprising to you?

they are not cracking down on a common criminal they are taking a british citizen who has not broken uk law to another country and imprisoning him for running an internet website which the american government didnt like.
heres a thought for all you americans out there.how would you feel if an american citizen got charged for possesion of a small amount of drugs for personal consumption and they extradited them to bali and executed them.bet you'd all be going nuts.

Again, lets reiterate that the British government is assisting with this. So it's not a matter of the American government doing this or doing that. It's a matter of governments working together. And this is nothing new.
Also, how does your example of "a small amount of drugs for personal consumption" compare to someone charged with making a quarter-of-a-million dollars off of illegal activities?
