First announced back at CES, the Acer Iconia Tab A510 is now official.
The powerful tablet will run on a quad-core Tegra 3 processor and be powered by Android 4.0.x Ice Cream Sandwich.
Acer will be launching the tablet in the U.S. and Canada, although the actual release date remains unknown.

Actually that Asus Transformer Infinity looks promising if you can forgive the extra $150 for that keyboard dock. But on topic, that Tegra 3 processor should be enough to justify the cost of this tablet, since it would be neat to use this on an HDTV. Has anybody used a tablet with Tegra 3 on an HDTV. Would like some thought on that one since I'm on the fence of buying an Asus tablet or something like this.
Why would Acer release this when the far superior A700 is on the not too distant horizon? I love my Acer A500, yes Acer is slow with updates, but if the A700 is easy to root then I will get it overclock the shit out of it and love it for at least a year (when 8 cores come out). I am trying to get one year out of my A500 and I am almost there, screw Apple and any other brand (for now).
