Rovio has said today that "Angry Birds Space" will not be headed to Windows Phone devices, which should hurt the fledgling operating system.
Says the developer: "We're the No. 1 app in the Windows Phone app store, but it's a big undertaking to support it, and you have to completely rewrite the application."

Some call it speculation, others an obvious conclusion, especially considering the original bit of news wasn't a mistake but an actual announcement from Rovio's marketing boss. Sure, it was probably a calculated move to get MS pay for the development to begin with - MS certainly needs them more than they need them, precisely for the reasons mentioned in the article. The message it sends to other developers when the makers of the best selling app think the platform is so small without signs of improvement that it's not economically feasible to support it.
I'm not saying it's the certain truth, but it is by far the most credible scenario I can think of or have seen - and certainly seems to be how it's seen.
