Lady walks into Apple glass door, sues for $1 million

article published on 26 March, 2012

In what is likely one of the more ridiculous stories you'll read today, an 83-year-old grandma is suing Apple after she walked right into the famous all-glass doors of a Manhasset-area Apple Store. Evelyn Paswall, a former VP at a fur-company in Manahattan, smashed her face into the glass door of the Long Island location after she failed to see the doors there. Reads a statement from ... [ read the full article ]

You gotta come up with your own material. Besides, that shit is trademarked, you know, TM... capital R with a circle around it.
Huh... Not that I would ever give credit where credit is due, but are you really that sure? I mean I've even told folks "I'm borrowing that" & other such nonsense, but really?

I got the phrase from a couple of old Army & Marine corp veterans that i hung out with when I was a kid back in the late 70s, early 80s & trying to make independent movies.

With all the creative inspiration I've been throwing around in here (and been reading as well) if you want to lay claim to it, be my guest. Just don't let those two surly, 'bus guy', beasts argue with you about where or who they it from first.

I don't think they'll agree that they read it here & they'll most assuredly argue that they calliope launched it into my ass some 30 years ago as well. ;)

..."Pound sand" is an old phrase; far older than any of us, certainly. It dates from the early part of the 20th century, roughly 1912 or so. GIYF.

LMFAO!!! Its called being facetious, people. Russ. I just knew that I'd get a good laugh from your response....but damn...a calliope! A fuqing T34!! How old are you, man?!! As for "pound sand" I had just used it on another thread that you commented on and thought it was hella funny that it was used again. I know I didn't come up with it. And I know you know that I know. I was already laughing...but seriously...a fuqing calliope? Man that's awesome. I almost pissed myself...no joke.

And that gentlemen is the whole reason why I'm in here...

Sure, I like to be the voice of reason, but sometimes the voice of reason is that mean little kid holding the cat's tail...

And for the record, I'm 47... & as my wife says, I'm an over educated dumb ass. Thus my knowledge of the T34, mounted on the Sherman tanks back during WW2. Plus, I was stationed at Fort Knox. Much longer stories to be had there as well.

Now if I could just get the 'writers block' out of my animation, you could see the real twisted inner workings...
