Hi, I have a PSP 1000 FAT that is bricked. I have been trying to unbrick it and install 5.00 M33. But when I try to install the CFW it stops at "Formatting Flash1..." then it shuts off. Can anyone help me out with this its really bugging me.
I am using a Pandora and a MMS I have a 1 gig Sandisk for the MMS. I am able to use the "Test M33" option. I have tried the 6.39 method as well since I posted this. And I don't get pass 0%. I have tried repairing the idStorage and still get stuck on "Formating Flash1...". I can not get to the recovery menu. How do I formate flash1 manually?
EDIT: Just found out I CAN access the recovery menu by holding L+R when inserting the Pandora.
The PSP is very old I bought it when PSPs where new. I don't remember what killed it but, I do remember a couple years ago I had to have a memstick that had certain files on it for it to work. I don't remember why I had to do that.I dont remember what it was called either. I know I bricked it and used someone else's PSP to fix it. That was years ago tho, when I lost the memstick I didn't touch it for years. I recently wanted to get it working again and bought a new memstick and hard modded my battery.

I would still try the Hellcat flasher, but I'm not sure how exactly you would fix missing flash files...
Anyway try Hellcat and then downgrade to 1.50 then back to 5.00 M33
Nah, I never had a custom font I had custom waves and boot screen if that would have the same effect.
EDIT: Just tried Hellcat's no luck. When I start it it says that Timemachine was detected I think that is what I used to unbrick it years ago. Hellcat's gets to step "whats going hot: Formating flashes.... 0" sits there for a while then turns off. Is there any hope for this thing?
I think its beyond software repairs, it's more of a hardware issue, like when a USB Flash Drive dies, except the USB in this case is the PSP's flash0 or flash1
This goes beyond my range of knowledge...
Sorry I couldn't help

EDIT: Have you tried other pandora tools? Also, use the nand checker (can't remember the name) to see if it can find faults...

I was afraid of that lol. Thanks for trying tho. I have asked around on a couple other forums nothing seems to work. Using the Test M33 function lets me do most of the stuff I want to do anyway. (ISO, emulators, and PSX.)
