Barnes & Noble has introduced a new version of the Nook e-reader that will have a glow in the dark screen, allowing for night time and dark room reading.
The new version of the Nook Simple Touch, which has an e-ink touchscreen, will incorporate the new light, a feature Amazon's rival Kindle devices do not have.

WTF... my current book does that, its called a back lit LCD screen and its $100 cheap piece of crap. Still does what its supposed to do tho, so why should anyone care about this?

Because the Nook Touch can last 2 months without charging and e-ink screens put no strain on the eyes. Your $100 "piece of crap" tablet gets what, 5 hours per charge?

This is exactly what I'VE been waiting for. So yep, I definitely really care about this. Will probably pick one up when I go to America later this year cuz that's actually beautiful :)

Re-looking at post, it seems condescending but didn't mean to be. I just remember my old LCD Nook Color getting poor battery life. 12 hours is still very good for a tablet, but i'll take 2 months any day :)
