According to a new report out of Asia.
The Galaxy Note was undoubtedly one of the surprise hits of 2011, and it appears Samsung is working on a sequel.
If the reports are accurate, the Galaxy Note II will debut in October, around the same time Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 5.
The device will feature ultra-thin "unbreakable plane display (UBP)," which is "a precursor to ... [ read the full article ]

Why would they put the same exynos quad processor in this phone several months after the GS3.
It should be the debut of the ARM cortex A-15 exynos 5250 SOC. If they shrink the screen to 5" and have a super ALMOLED HD+ screen I'd use my upgrade on this. Or just wait for the 2012 nexus by Samsung this year.
I hope they make it a 7" and release it to carriers other than att...actually, I want a 11" tablet that makes phone calls, but I'll settle for 7"...for now. If you don't want a big screen, you have lots of options in a smart phone, if you do want a big screen you have no options, that is why the note has done so well, but the screen still isn't exactly big.

It would be nice especially if you could do Bluetooth. But how would you carry it with you say to a nice restraraunt or for a run? Most people like to listen to music as they go running outside.

Of course it would need Bluetooth, I don't even use my sensation as a handset. A 7" tablet holster really isn't that big, people said the note was too big because it wouldn't fit comfortably into a pocket, but the market proved them wrong. I wouldn't use my phone while going for a run regardless...but I guess if a person does this, they can keep doing it with their old phone, just without the service...or they could get a cheap iPod clone...or a mini backpack for the tablet, and those are just a few options. I've seen people carry their iPads into nice restaurants more than a few times, so I'm not sure if you are referring to some limitation I missed with that question.
The current Galaxy Note design is a good compromise between screen real estate and portability. If they want to make a tablet (with phone features or not), they should make a tablet, rather than borking a design that already is far more popular than they expected.
