Sprint and AT&T have been forced to delay the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III until next week.
The phone was set for launch on Thursday but Sprint was the first to warn of a delay in the U.S.
Thanks to "overwhelming demand," Sprint had to push back the available date. 16GB pre-orders have already shipped, but 32GB models will not until next week.

This phone is lame, America got dual core and no quad core to allow 4g data, glad I got a SII almost for free instead as that phone has same dual core and same speed, who cares about screen resolution on a screen this small! I will wait for the SIV as this phone is almost 300 + plus, rip off!

Actually they are $200, and it has double the RAM, and a handful of added features.
LTE + 2gb Ram vs quad core that most apps don't even take advantage of yet. It really could go either way. I am glad to take the US over the international version.
I have a GS3 4core 32gig phone so it's 3G but it has the HSPA+ and the networks here pretty much support that mode now, so get great speeds data wise.
The reason the LTE is dual core is there being no 4 core LTE chip out so far.
I don't know heaps about the LTE version but the 4 core just makes everything stupidly fast, 100meg apps/games install in 1/4 of a second, I'm only getting 400KB/s DL and 200KB/s UL but should expect faster speeds maybe a meg or 2 fairly soon I would think maybe both ways seeing as that won't be maxing out HSPA+ data rates.
Also having the 4 cores means very little battery usage can play 3D HD games for 2-3 hours and only use up 10% of the battery, I've only charged it up 3 times in the 2 weeks I've had it.
The 4 core phone is very worth while the LTE version not too sure.
In terms of ram the 4 core has 1.5gig of program ram so can run a fair bit before you need to kill tasks, I'd say the LTE will be the same unless it's the help the dual core to keep up with the apps.
Doesn't the galxy s2 use the snapdragon s3 while the US Galaxy s3 uses the snapdragon s4?im just asking because I keep hearing that they use the same cpu with the samet clock speed.... But I thought they were two different processors. Or are they one in the same with different badging?

Jeez people are dumb. Both the S4 and exynos quad chips would be more than adequate for what you'd want to do on a phone with no lag. If your complaining that we didn't get quad than you are not aware that both Chips are weak sauce to a real exynos chip. Wait for the exynos 5250 SOC.
It's a dual core(yes heavens no) ARM cortex-15 exynos 5250(Next gen) processor. Its made for high end tablets do having that in your phone would be beast. It can run at fricken 2 GHZ, support resolutions higher than the new iPad, and record/decode 1080p video at 60 fps. All other chips are weak sauce compared to next gen A15 chips that will support LTE. Oh and not to mention it'll come equipped with a t-Mali 604 it'll be superb mobile graphics. After dawn should really do an article about why next gen dual core processors trump these fake quad core archaic processors.
Plutonash, just because a more powerful chip is going to be offered soon, is no reason to NOT want a more powerful processor in a current offering. There's *ALWAYS* going to be a more powerful chip just around the corner, you know; Moore's law is still going strong.
Furthermore, that more powerful Exynos is also going to take a good while to actually be incorporated into any new phones, if it ever is. Even you noted that it's intended for tablets; there's actually very little crossover between phone and tablet processor types.
