Bloomberg has reported today that IBM has "informally" approached RIM about potentially acquiring its enterprise services unit. Despite the potential, there are no talks currently underway, add the sources. When I got a BB as a gift for my 40th wedding anniversary I was really excited. However, when I realised that the monthly service charges for BBM service would cost me 3 times as much as my annual telephony charges for the basic unlimited incoming service the excitement quickly faded.

Now with my recently acquired Android Samsung device I have almost everything I need at unbelievably low price. No wonder a lot of people I know switched. Am now waiting for a reasonably priced Android device with a slide out qwerty keyboard. Then I would actually have everything I need.

IBM does not act on whims. Their every action has paid off. I am sure they will pull out something from the hat that will make others say " Why did we not think of it?"
