As expected, Samsung has shown off the impressive Galaxy Note II today, with specs that should make even the pickiest consumers happy. The new device runs on Android 4.1, has a 5.5-inch screen, a new 16:9 aspect ratio meaning 1280x720 resolution. Read on a couple of news site (google results) that its approx $800US starting point.

Speculative maybe... But prolly not off the mark.

It looks like the galaxy s 3, but bigger, from the demos etc i have seen it looks good

Nice phone with rounded corners. Now if we can keep Apple & their crazed band of legal trolls from trolling up our Hershey highways in their yogurt truck of doom, maybe we'll all get a crack at one here in October.

Better specs than the newly released Galaxy Note 10.1, how insulting! You would think tablets would have double the specs of phones given the need not to miniaturize! I am not buying another tablet until it is at least 2.0 ghz quad core, 2gb ram and 64gb of storage for no more than 550.00. This phone will be cool, but not for me.

the only thing about this phone that is making me worried is whether i may look like a madman when i hold it close to my ear. also, holding issue.

So why doesn't my GS3 have quad core? I could of swore Samsung said something about the quad core chip not being compatible with LTE (which T-Mobile doesn't even have and when they get it it won't support the LTE network in the GS3.)
