Today, Amazon has announced that the Kindle Fire tablet has sold out.
The company called the device the best selling product on the site, by a long shot and also that it had taken 22 percent of the tablet share market in the U.S. in just 9 months.

My wife loves her kindle fire. Perfect size to take with you and runs the popular apps people want all for less than half the price of an iPad. She could care less about a camera as who wants to look like an idiot trying to take a picture with a full size tablet.

I know, right. lmfao They do look like idiots. That is, if it's a self pic. But like landscape shots wouldn't be too bad. Another reason I want an iPad, I've got shit ton of apps already that are no longer compatible with my second gen iPod.

Certainly something Apple will never be hearing any time soon, that's for sure.
Until the day comes that Apple releases a smaller tablet to compete with the Kindle Fire and other 7" class tablets and claim they thought of the idea and people flock like sheep and praise Apple for their innovation.
But is this like Nintendo's Wii "selling out" because the company limited shipments while having warehouses full of them, just so they could make "so popular we can't make enough of them and retailers can't keep them in stock" boasts?
They are switching over to the next generation so that is more than probably the reason why they are sold out, limited production. Plus they do sell fast since they hit the market, however I haven't seen one leave the store I'm at in awhile.
