Sony, RiData, Ritek G04, Verbatim "DataLife" are considered excellent quality and should give you no problems :)

Cheers,

Sorry no, if you're using decent media then perhaps your player's laser is out of alignment.

You have sound on the disc. To double check it, head to an electronics store, one with a display and try your DVD in several different players. My guess ? It'll play in them -

It's hard to fix that which isn't broke. The sound is there - we can't fix it from this end.

If you wish to continue ? Begin using RW media to cut down on your coaster collection -

cheers -

It may just be your DVD player. As Pete suggested, try your disc in some other players. If it does not play the audio properly then it may well be your burner. Kinda doubt it though at this point.

nosty10s,

I can't see as it's your burner OR anything to do with your PC. The sound is on your disc where it's supposed to be so your burner is defiantly working just fine.

I was suggesting that your player may be out of wack. Attempt to play it on other DVD players to see what is what.

Beating on your burner or your PC won't affect anything. The original thought, if you'll remember, was that you were using poor media. You said you put it on some of our recommended media. If that is true, the only thing left is your standalone.

We've given it everything we have, sorry but we've eliminated everything that could cause your problem so again, try several other players.

Cheers my friend and, if you are a resident of the USA, I believe you're having a holiday so, Happy Holiday :)

Pete
