I have searched hi and low but cant find the answer. Please can someone help me out/ point me to a useful thread, please?

I have three avi files from my digi camcorder. I want to stick all three on a dvd so that it can be played on my standalone player. I have used tmpgenc plus to make a audio and video file (according to the guide), and now i am stuck.

I want to have a menu that lets me select the avi I want to play.

The alternative is making 3 dvds but as the files only add up to 500mb theres no point wasting the space. PLEASE HELP!!

personally i use Nero vision express to transcode, author and burn my home movies. If you do not have this program you can download a trial version from the Nero site.
with this software you can make a menu page so that each piece of video can be selected as a dvd menu allows you to. there may be other software you can use but i find this easy and quicker than others.
hope this gives you a start.

i know of a program

Tmpegenc v3.0 express

use that to encode the file to DVD standards (with all three files), then open up tmpegenc DVD author and make them into a DVD - with menu's and everything, really great programs ;D

let me know how you get on

DB, how ya doin? I don't think NVE comes in the trial version, does it?

amish, DB is right, NVE is an excellent and easy to use file converter and menu creating and burning program. You can get the entire Nero Ultra 6 package for 49.00 at eagletronics. It is normally 99.00, a hell of a deal.
I do have TMPGEnc, but not the author part. As far as file conversion, it is excellent, but not as easy or as quick as NVE.

GO VOLS !

hi big orange hows ya doin'? On nero's website you can download nero 6 ultra edition demo, haven't tried but should contain nve? Mind you it is definately worth the cash (except when it keeps crashing like it did to me today, grumble,grumble..)
I guess it depends on how much time you can have yr system being used up by TMPGEnc....
