Netflix brings 'new experience' to Android

article published on 24 September, 2012

Netflix has announced today a "new experience" for Android users. Says the streaming company: Compared to the previous version, the new Netflix experience on Android phones is much more immersive. You will see many more titles and galleries than we have ever shown before on a smartphone. It is much closer to the Netflix experience on tablets, which got a major upgrade late last year. ... [ read the full article ]

Like the new UI on this app! Gotta admit that the way they place all your movies/TV shows in categories makes it easier to access my favorite stuff. Now if only they can get Falling Skies for me, then I'm good!!

Have the app on my Samsung Charge. Absolute garbage. Slicker looking yes, but does not work for shit. App load time is awful, Long audio sync issues when film starts and the "search" feature does nothing at all. Terrible waste and aside from the visuals in no way different from the previous version.

You only get the lag the first couple times then when they measure your performance properly everything works well. It isn't a sync issue with audio it is a lag in the video buffering big difference and again only at the start.

This is a good thing and will only get better!

Yes, only at the start. But compared to never having that issue before? And the app. Also does not negate the other issues mentioned. I've no doubt this runs smoother on newer phones, but no ones running out for new phones just for a netflix app. The headaches out way the visually slicker interface.
