NERO 6: BURN TIMES & ERROR MSGS?

I am new to NERO - but am having some first time user blues.....
I will post my most recent BURN log below
My 3 questions are:

(1) Why am I getting a "Burn Failed" message at the end of my BURN session in NERO - when I go to play it back on my DVD player and PC - it appears fine?

(2) Is it typical to be running about 10 - 14 min burn time for every minute of DVD output I am burning (these are my home slide shows made in PHOTOSTORY)

(3) Just before I start the BURN process, I get a message saying I have more "PAL" than NTSC" and propmpts me to convert - I have been saying no? WHY?
Because I don't know why I am getting that message?
My source videos are at this point primarily slide shows I wanted to put together on a DVD with menus I created using PHOTOSTORY.

I am running/using:
WINDOWS XP
IOMAGIC DVDRW IDE 1008
liteon ltr-40125S
ANY help appreciated.

(BTW - I think this most be the most active and informative forum I have EVER come across - - keep up the OUTSTANDING work - -I have learned alot by reading through alot of other threads already!!!!!)
