I go through the dvd lab guide to converting a svcd to dvd, but when I put it in my dvd player its picture has white all in it. Its hard to explain...it almost looks like its a vcr and the traking is off or something. I think that its the resolution. I need to change it to something the dvd player accepts. Im not for sure and I don't want to have to encode anthing. Also whenever I hit the zoom button it fixes the problem, but then you only see part of the screen so that doesn't work either. My xbox well play it fine, but I want to be able to play it in my dvd player. Could someone please help me out.

Thanks,
Cliff

Your only option then will be to re-encode from SVCD to DVD. You can find excell;ent guides just using Google. You can use a TMPGEnc approach but I honestly would recommend you take a CCE SP or CEE Basic approach if thats possible!

One thing though before you do, in the compile dvd options, there is the option of relaxed compliancy, you might want to try selecting that instead of the default, perhaps that might make a difference on the outcome DVD.

In order to load an MPEG into CCE you need to use DVD2AVI and AviSynth. DVD2AVI will create a D2V project for you that you can open with AviSynth. If you look through my AviSynth/AVSEdit guide (http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/avisynth_tutorial.cfm) you'll find instructions for opening a D2V file with AviSynth and other information on resizing. Once you have your script done, save and open it in CCE as your source.
