dvd media can only be used once!?

burned a file into a dvd-r and i coudn't burn anymore after that. are all dvds able to burn only once and cant continue?

DVD-R's only burn once. Use DVD-RW for re-writable material.

You can burn more than once to a DVDR. Check the settings in whatever burning program you are using. If you want to add more files later make sure you are not closing the disc after burning. Now this is only for data files. If you are burning a DVDR in the DVD movie format it must be closed to play in standalone dvd players, and no more files can be added after that. If you are talking movie format then yes you need to use RW rewritable media.
